Petre Petrov

Artist background: Petre Petrov has earned a M.A. in Sculpture and a PhD in Art History from National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Although he gained his degrees at the same institution Petre Petrov has travelled widely participating in Sculpture Symposium. From Queensland, Australia to Chhatpar shilp Nyas, India he has erected sculpture in a myriad of mediums. With a concentration on Marble, Petrov has also worked in wood and metal, even Ice and snow.

A consistent feature of his sculpture is a fine eye for balance. While remaining solid his compositions lean and look ready to move their massive bulk.
